Dance help to entertain myself. It’s been a long time I did not went to dance practice because it was a fasting month.A lot of work lately but dancing always come across my mind.The last time I went for dance training was on the earlier day in June.  It was a bonding programme among the Kebudayaan members. In Kebudayaan. We got 3 clubs in it which is Sencetra stands for Seni Dance Tradisional, Sepresi stands for Seni Ekspresi Diri and semara stands for Seni Madah Suara. This programme was located in Port Dickson,  all kebudayaan members joined this programme. There’s are a lot of activities there, we had so much fun. We also had a meeting for Citrawarna ; event that will be held after Raya. All kebudayaan members, will be participating in the meeting.

Before the fasting month,club kebudayaan members had a collaboration events with Debest team which is business course club. This is Business event is on 16Jun, it is an event for the part one business.There are few performece from club kebudayaan which is traditional dance and singing performance.The traditional dance that we performed are Samra dance and overture .Beside that there are also competition for each part one class where they need to do a traditional dance that represent each state. For example there are class that do Dondang Sayang dance from Melaka. All the student are having fun on that day and they are so talented in coriografing a dance.

Dance also can show our culture to others. Dondang sayang is a dance from Melaka and was my first show in Melaka was Dondang sayang. This show was at Afamosa Melaka. I feel nervous because that was my first show as a student in uitm but I also felt excited to cooperate with new team members.It was a great experience for me because we had traning everday at eight oçlock in the night.We gather at dataran keris for practice and we try to make a new steps in our dance.The second show was at Dewan Taming Sari UiTM Lendu, we also represented Dondang Sayang dance. Even it was a tiring week but I enjoy participating in the dance traditional club.

On Jun 2014, I continued my studies at Melaka.   It was a little bit hard at the beginning because I need to stay far away from my family plus im such a clingy girl. My studies was located at Alor Gajah, Melaka/ Kampus Alor Gajah or also being known as Uitm Lendu. In this campus, there’s always create many interesting event such as inviting artist, a lot of vendor and many more. On my second week in the campus, I participate in the dance audition that had been organized by Kebudayaan Uitm Kampus Alor Gajah. The audition start on 8pm on dataran keris, that place was quite far from my college. I was the first participant on that audition, I being told to dance three basics of dance that is joget, zapin and inang. All of it was tradisional dance.  

HI  guys! Im Sarah. This blog is about my passion in dancing. Dance is part of my life, when I feel sad,bored and even stress I will dance. This is how I spent my time. I start dancing when I was 6years old. My first performance was in kindergarten. On that day, I need to dance in a group for mother’s day. We dance and sang at the same time. I was very happy because I make my mom happy. My passion did not stop there, I also continue my dance on primary school, high school and still counting until now. When I’m in Terengganu I learned many types of dance. Most of it was ethnic and tradisinal dance. I love tradisional dance a lot because it was really interesting. Ethnic dance were also interesting but a little bit difficult to learned the skills.  I join all dance perfomence in Terengganu and makes many friends from other culture and country through my dancing programme. The most  favourite programme that I had join in high school was Seni Budaya. This programme was a international programme, all the participators was from all states. In that programme i need to join the Sabah group to learn the ethic dance, it was so much fun. I need to wear their costum on that day. We created a simple dance on the performance day. We won the first place in that competition. My teacher was so proud of me.
